How important is effective networking to the success of your business? This is a question we ask all of our training programme participants and in recent months on average they have given networking an importance of 9.1 out of 10. However only 25% of them have a networking strategy and 83% were unsure how to create one.


So why do you need a networking strategy? Not having a networking strategy means time, money and resources are wasted by turning up at the ‘wrong' events and entertaining the ‘wrong' people. Teams are frustrated because they are not getting the results they might be expecting. This frustration results in poor personal and business branding. Think about how many ‘boring' people you have met at events? What are the lasting impressions on you? Is that what you want your people to leave behind?


Now consider the cost of sending people to or hosting events. Each person's time could be worth anything between say £300 - £500 plus there is the cost of the event on top. What a waste of time and money if it is not producing the hoped-for results and yet it could be so easily very profitable.
