Hosting Fantastic Events
Hosting Fantastic Events
Description
How much does it cost your business to host events so that you can entertain your key contacts and customers - £5,000, £10,000, £100,000 per year, per event? Do they produce the results you expect? In some cases the answer is no and that is often to do with just a few things not being quite right. One of those is training your staff or team in how to host an event effectively.
When hosting an event, do you have pre and post briefings? Do you allocate specific roles to individuals so everyone is clear of their responsibilities and do those roles suit each individual's personality and level of comfort?
Your team can enhance or tarnish your reputation, depending on how they react with and respond to your guests. If you host events regularly you need to know what works well. If this is a new event, your team should be briefed on what you want to push, test and so on. They need to know why this event is being run, what the guests have been told and who you are expecting.
Not everyone is comfortable attending events, so only select those who really want to join in or are looking for the experience. Please don't force people - it rarely works!
